  Leningrad \Leningrad\ prop. n.
     A city in the European part of Soviet Russia; the former
     capital of Russia. The name was formerly {St. Petersburg} and
     {Petrograd}, and was changed back to {Saint Petersburg}
     (Sankt Peterburg in Russian) in 1992.
