     1. (Bot.) An aromatic and pungent plant of the genus {Mentha}
        ({Mentha piperita}), much used in medicine and
        confectionery.

     The name of several aromatic labiate plants, mostly of the
     genus {Mentha}, yielding odoriferous essential oils by
