  Pawn \Pawn\, v. t. [imp. & p. p. {Pawned}; p. pr. & vb. n.
     {Pawning}.]
     1. To give or deposit in pledge, or as security for the
        payment of money borrowed; to put in pawn; to pledge; as,
        to pawn one's watch.
