     pl. {Paragnathi} (p[.a]*r[a^]g"n[.a]*th[imac]). [NL. See
     {Para-}, and {Gnathic}.] (Zool.)
     (a) One of the two lobes which form the lower lip, or
         metastome, of Crustacea.
     (b) One of the small, horny, toothlike jaws of certain


         annelids.
