  Opetide \Ope"tide`\, n. [Ope + tide.]
     Open time; -- applied to different things:
     (a) The early spring, or the time when flowers begin opening.
         [Archaic] --Nares.
     (b) The time between Epiphany and Ash Wednesday wherein
         marriages were formerly solemnized publicly in churches.
