  Mollah \Mol"lah\, n. [Ar. maul[=a], commonly moll[=a]in Turkey.]
     1. One of the higher order of Turkish; also, a Turkish title
        of respect for a religious and learned man. [Written also
        {mullah} and {moolah}.]
