  Lunette \Lu*nette"\, n. [F., dim. of lune moon, L. luna. See
     {Lune} a crescent.]
     1. (Fort.) A fieldwork consisting of two faces, forming a
        salient angle, and two parallel flanks. See {Bastion}.
