  Kyanize \Ky"an*ize\, v. t. [imp. & p. p. {Kyanized}; p. pr. &
     vb. n. {Kyanizing}.] [From Mr. Kyan, the inventor of the
     process.]
     To render (wood) proof against decay by saturating with a
     solution of corrosive sublimate in open tanks, or under
     pressure.
