  Intercalate \In*ter"ca*late\, v. t. [imp. & p. p.
     {Intercalated}; p. pr. & vb. n. {Intercalating}.] [L.
     intercalatus, p. p. of intercalare to intercalate to
     intercalate; inter between + calare to call, proclaim. See
     {Calendar}.]
