     n. {Infesting}.] [L. infestare, fr. infestus disturbed,
     hostile, troublesome; in in, against + the root of defendere:

     To trouble greatly by numbers or by frequency of presence; to
     disturb; to annoy; to frequent and molest or harass; as,
