  Huronian \Hu*ro"ni*an\, a. [Named from Lake Huron.] (Geol.)
     Of or pertaining to certain non-fossiliferous rocks on the
     borders of Lake Huron, which are supposed to correspond in
     time to the latter part of the Arch[ae]an age.
