  Huarache \Hua*ra"che\, huaraches \hua*ra"ches\, Huaracho
  \Hua*ra"cho\, n.; pl. {Huarachos}. [Amer. Sp., also guaracha,
     guarache, huarache, prob. of Mexican origin.]
     A kind of low-heeled sandal with the upper consisting of
     interwoven leather strips; -- usually used in pl. [Southern
     U. S. & Mex.]
