  Homologous \Ho*mol"o*gous\, a. [Gr. ? assenting, agreeing; ? the
     same + ? speech, discourse, proportion, ? to say, speak.]
     Having the same relative position, proportion, value, or
     structure. Especially:
     (a) (Geom.) Corresponding in relative position and
         proportion.
