  Hexabasic \Hex`a*ba"sic\, a. [Hexa- + basic.] (Chem.)
     Having six hydrogen atoms or six radicals capable of being
     replaced or saturated by bases; -- said of acids; as,
     mellitic acid is hexabasic.
