     and other stuffs, fr. gaufre honeycomb, waffle; of German
     origin. See {Waffle}, {Wafer}, and cf. {Goffer}, {Gopher} an
     animal.]
     To plait, crimp, or flute; to goffer, as lace. See {Goffer}.
