  Forel \For"el\, n. [OE. forelcase, sheath, OF. forel, fourel, F.
     fourreau, LL. forellus, fr. OF. forre, fuerre, sheath, case,
     of German origin; cf. OHG. fuotar, akin to Goth. f[=o]dr;
     prob. not the same word as E. fodder food. Cf. {Fur},
     {Fodder} food.]
     A kind of parchment for book covers. See {Forrill}.
