  Fascia \Fas"ci*a\, n.; pl. {Fasci[ae]}. [L., a band: cf. It.
     fascia. See {Fasces}, and cf. {Fess}.]
     1. A band, sash, or fillet; especially, in surgery, a bandage
        or roller.
