  Estrepe \Es*trepe"\, v. t. [OF. estreper.] (Law)
     To strip or lay bare, as land of wood, houses, etc.; to
     commit waste.
     [1913 Webster]

  ESTREPE. This word is derived from the French, estropier, to cripple. It 
  signifies an injury to lands, to the damage of another, as a reversioner. 
  This is prevented by a writ of estrepement.
