  -dom \-dom\
     A suffix denoting:
     (a) Jurisdiction or property and jurisdiction, dominion, as
         in kingdom earldom.
     (b) State, condition, or quality of being, as in wisdom,
         freedom.


  
     Note: It is from the same root as doom meaning authority and
           judgment. ?. See {Doom}.
