     corruption of Ar. damaj[=a]na, damj[=a]na, prob. fr. Damaghan
     a town in the Persian province of Khorassan, once famous for
     its glass works.]
     A glass vessel or bottle with a large body and small neck,
     inclosed in wickerwork.
