     p. pr. & vb. n. {Deigning}.] [OE. deinen, deignen, OF.
     degner, deigner, daigner, F. daigner, fr. L. dignari to deem
     worthy, deign, fr. dignus worthy; akin to decere to be
     fitting. See {Decent}, and cf. {Dainty}, {Dignity},
     {Condign}, {Disdain}.]
