  Datura \Da*tu"ra\, n. [NL.; cf. Skr. dhatt[=u]ra, Per. & Ar.
     tat[=u]ra, Tat[=u]la.] (Bot.)
     A genus of solanaceous plants, with large funnel-shaped
     flowers and a four-celled, capsular fruit.
