     toncrust, peel, skin + AS. dr[=o]f dirty, draffy, or W. drwg
     bad: cf. AS. tan a letter, an eruption. [root]240.]
     A scurf which forms on the head, and comes off in small
     scales or particles. [Written also {dandriff}.]
