  Croak \Croak\ (kr[=o]k), v. i. [imp. & p. p. {Croaked}.
     (kr[=o]kt); p. pr. & vb. n. {Croaking}.] [From the primitive
     of AS. cracettan to croak as a raven; akin to G. kr[aum]chzen
     to croak, and to E. creak, crake.]
