  Correct \Cor*rect"\, v. t. [imp. & p. p. {Corrected}; p. pr. &
     vb. n. {Correcting}.]
     1. To make right; to bring to the standard of truth, justice,
        or propriety; to rectify; as, to correct manners or
        principles.
