  Corona \Co*ro"na\ (k?-r?"n?), n.; pl. L. {Coron[ae]} (-n?), E.
     {Coronas} (-n?z). [L. corona crown. See {Crown}.]
     1. A crown or garland bestowed among the Romans as a reward
        for distinguished services.
