  Coop \Coop\, v. t. [imp. & p. p. {Cooped}; p. pr. & vb. n.
     {Cooping}.]
     To confine in a coop; hence, to shut up or confine in a
     narrow compass; to cramp; -- usually followed by up,
     sometimes by in.
