     (kl[i^]kt); p. pr. & vb. n. {Clicking}.] [Prob. an
     onomatopoetic word: cf. OF. cliquier. {See Clack}, and cf.
     {Clink}, {Clique}.]
     To make a slight, sharp noise (or a succession of such
     noises), as by gentle striking; to tick.
