  Campagnol \Cam`pa`gnol"\, n. [F., fr. campagne field.] (Zool.)
     A mouse ({Arvicala agrestis}), called also {meadow mouse},
     which often does great damage in fields and gardens, by
     feeding on roots and seeds.
