  Cadmia \Cad"mi*a\, n. [L. cadmia calamine, Gr. ?. Cf.
     {Calamine}.] (Min.)
     An oxide of zinc which collects on the sides of furnaces
     where zinc is sublimed. Formerly applied to the mineral
     calamine.
