Eugenol \Eu"ge*nol\, n. [Eugenia + -ol.] (Chem.)
A colorless, aromatic, liquid hydrocarbon, {C10H12O2}
resembling the phenols, and hence also called {eugenic acid}.
It is found in the oils of pimento and cloves.
