  Brocatel \Bro"ca*tel\, n. [F. brocatelle, fr. It. brocatello:
     cf. Sp. brocatel. See {Brocade}.]
     1. A kind of coarse brocade, or figured fabric, used chiefly
        for tapestry, linings for carriages, etc.
