  Bhang \Bhang\, n. [Per. bang; cf. Skr. bhang[=a] hemp.]
     An astringent and narcotic drug made from the dried leaves
     and seed capsules of wild hemp ({Cannabis Indica}), and
     chewed or smoked in the East as a means of intoxication. See
