     bikarr, Sw. b[aum]gare, Dan. baeger, G. becher, It.
     bicchiere; -- all fr. LL. bicarium, prob. fr. Gr. bi^kos wine
     jar, or perh. L. bacar wine vessel. Cf. {Pitcher} a jug.]
