  Appetency \Ap"pe*ten*cy\, n.; pl. {Appetencies}. [L. appetentia,
     fr. appetere to strive after, long for. See {Appetite}.]
     1. Fixed and strong desire; esp. natural desire; a craving;
        an eager appetite.
