  Agrise \A*grise"\, v. i. [AS. [=a]gr[imac]san to dread; [=a]-
     (cf. Goth. us-, Ger. er-, orig. meaning out) + gr[imac]san,
     for gr?san (only in comp.), akin to OHG. gr?is?n, G. grausen,
     to shudder. See {Grisly}.]
     To shudder with terror; to tremble with fear. [Obs.]
