  Britannia \Bri*tan"ni*a\, n. [From L. Britannia Great Britain.]
     A white-metal alloy of tin, antimony, bismuth, copper, etc.
     It somewhat resembles silver, and is used for table ware.
     Called also {Britannia metal}.
     [1913 Webster]
