     {Brahmins}. [Skr. Br[=a]hmana (cf. Brahman worship, holiness;
     the God Brahma, also Brahman): cf. F. Brahmane, Brachmane,
     Bramine, L. Brachmanae, -manes, -mani, pl., Gr. ?, pl.]
     1. A person of the highest or sacerdotal caste among the
        Hindus.
