  Bistoury \Bis"tou*ry\, n.; pl. {Bistouries}. [F. bistouri.]
     A surgical instrument consisting of a slender knife, either
     straight or curved, generally used by introducing it beneath
     the part to be divided, and cutting towards the surface.
